DNB CET Exam Analysis Day 2, Session 2

The second session of the Day 2 exam i.e. June 16^th 2017 DNB CET exam is over. Detailed Exam Analysis of DNB CET – JUNE 16^th 2017 Evening Session. 

Overall Difficulty Level – Moderate to Difficult The Evening session of Day 2 was again of moderate to difficult level. Based on the reviews of candidates, exam was of moderate to difficult level.  Many questions appeared from previous years. They also shared that exam was not lengthy rather if one has decent skills of time management, then one can go through all the questions on time. Overall, the Evening session exam stood at ‘Moderate to Difficult level’ based on the opinions of majority of examinees. Deciders/High Weightage Subjects: Decider or the Subject that could bring a substantial difference to your overall ranking was Biochemistry. Followed by Biochemistry, many questions were asked from Microbiology, Pharmacology, PSM and Obs & Gynae. Low Weightage Subjects: Again, subjects that carried considerably low weightage in the second shift were Pediatrics and Anesthesia. Pattern of Questions: Type of questions that appeared in this session were factual based and one liner. Furthermore, numerical value based questions also appeared in this session. A lot of data based questions with very close options were seen. Again, clinical questions were not seen. Majority of questions were from repeated topics that were framed in a new manner. Almost every topic was touched and as per the reviews of candidates more than 1 question appeared from every topic. About 10% of questions were based on syndromes. Furthermore, around 6-7 questions appeared from unheard topics. Image-Based Questions: In this session, about 10 questions asked in the exam were Image-Based. The level of such questions was moderate to difficult. Distribution of Questions: This exam consists of 300 questions in total. Classification of questions has been done into 3 different categories based on student reviews. Distribution of Questions is as follows:

As you can see in the table above, less number of easy questions were asked as compared to all the sessions till now. However, number of difficult questions was almost same.
