NEET PG 2019 is a single window examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses which will be conducted on 6th January 2019 all over the country.
NBE, the examination conducting authority, has already released the application form along with other important information, including the provisional subject-wise distribution of questions for NEET PG 2019.
This time there is a slight change in the marks distribution released by NBE. Hence, having an idea about the weightage of questions from each subject is very important.
We have brought forth this blog to enlighten the aspirants regarding the subject-wise weightage of MCQs which will assist them in planning the preparation stratagem to succeed in NEET PG 2019.
Subject-wise Questions Distribution
The examination comprises of 300 Multiple Choices with a single correct answer. The question paper shall be divided into 3 parts (part A, B and C) each containing 50, 100, 150 MCQs respectively. The distribution of MCQs shall be as under:

Note: The weightage of questions in each subject is indicative and purely provisional and thus, NBE reserves its rights to modify the same in accordance with MCI/DGHS/MoHFW.
With the recent change in the subject –wise marks distribution for NEET-PG, the highest weightage subjects are:
Surgery & related specialties
Medicine & related specialties
Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Social and Preventive Medicine
Pathology
We recommend that you give higher priority for such high weightage subjects during revision in order to score high.
Marking Scheme:
There will be 25% negative marking for NEET PG 2019.
Thus, for every correct response, 4 marks will be awarded and for an incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted.
No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
