FMGE Marks Distribution and Exam Pattern

The FMGE marks distribution and FMGE exam pattern are as follows:

1. FMGE Exam Pattern:

   • The FMGE exam is a computer-based test (CBT) that consists of 300 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
   • The exam is conducted in two parts - Part A & Part B.
   • The exam is conducted in English only.
   • The duration of the exam is 300 minutes (5 hours). A total of 2 Hours and 30 Minutes is allowed for each part.
   • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

2. FMGE Marks Distribution:

   • Each MCQ is worth 1 mark, making the total marks for the exam 300.
   • The questions are divided into two parts: Part A and Part B.
   • Part A consists of 100 MCQs and covers subjects pre and para-clinical subjects including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Forensic Medicine.
   • Part B consists of 200 MCQs and covers clinical subjects including Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Community Medicine, and Psychiatry.

FMG Exam Pattern Change - Recent Update for June 2024

The information bulletin for the FMG June 2024 exam was recently released by the NBE and as per the bulletin, while the FMG exam pattern remains the same, there is a slight change to how the questions will be structured.

As per the information bulletin, the FMGE question paper will be structured into multiple time-bound sections. Each section will be labeled as Section A, B, & C, and will contain 50 questions each. 50 minutes will be allowed for completion of each section. Candidates must complete each section within its designated time before moving to the next one. Once the time for a section expires, candidates cannot review or modify their answers for that section. The subsequent section's questions will automatically appear after the previous section's time has concluded.
