Terminal part is curved with fenestration which can accommodate delicate structure →Non traumatic instrument · Uses - Appendectomy →To hold the appendix . In gastrectomy→To hold the cut margins , Hold fallopian tube , Hold Ureter,  Hold spermatic cord during hernia surgery , hold cut margins in resection and anastomosis . Hold cut margins of bladder in suprapubic cystolithotomy.

Instrument is Lane's Tissue Forceps 

It is short, thick, bulkier and heavier · It is having curved blade with fenestration and presence of tooth and groove · Uses - Hold bulky and slippery tissue. In Parotid gland surgery to hold gland in Submandibular gland surgery . To hold breast tissue in mastectomy while dissecting it from pectoralis fascia.

Desjardins Choledocholithotomy Forceps 

Its shaft is curved and has no catch to prevent the crushing effect · It has curved shaft and curved blade so it can be used to work in the minimum space · End of blade have fenestration to help accommodate stone · Uses: Stone removal during Choledocholithotomy and Cholecystectomy.

Listers Sinus Forceps

It is having straight blade with blunt, rounded, and olive pointed p having transverse serrations · Uses 1. Explore the sinus tract 2. Incision and drainage of abscess by Hilton's method (abscess is in flexor aspect especially near vital areas) blunt dissection should be performed · Areas where this forceps are applied are neck, axilla and groin.

Yeomans Punch biopsy forceps

Cord Holding forceps
