At one end it has tooth and groove which give firm grip by interlocking · Its blade has transverse serrations along entire length · Uses - Crush the base of appendix during Appendectomy, Hold perforating vessels during Mastectomy, Catch bleeder in tough tissue like palm and sole, In Thyroidectom.
Its tip is conical, and its blade is half the length of handle with transverse serration · Uses 1. Hold bleeding vessels 2. Split internal oblique and transverse abdominis during appendectomy.
