Even though the official dates for the NEET-SS 2023 exam have not been officially announced on the National Board of Examination’s website, the exam is most likely to be held early in the month of September this year. 

If we go by that estimation, that leaves you with a little more than a month to finish your NEET SS Pediatrics preparation. 

1 month is enough if you know the right way to optimize your studies according to the exam pattern. Follow the proven-effective study strategy given in the paragraphs below and scale up your SS pediatrics preparation to new heights.

1 Month Strategy To Ace NEET SS Pediatrics Exam

The entire purpose of the strategy given below is to streamline your revision or preparation for the SS exam. You are already aware of what to study but only those who know how to study are able to reach the heights of success. 

To do so, you need to be aware of the latest NEET-SS exam pattern, important topics to review and lots of practice. 

Before we begin, do not assume you have the entire 30 days to prepare for the exam. There will be days when you are unable to study, feeling ill or restricted by other circumstances. These things are not in our control. 

Therefore, always keep a few days as a buffer. 

For the last one month or 30 days, we shall divide the remaining days into two parts. Part-I where we shall cover all the systems that are part of the syllabus. And Part-II where we shall revise the critical parts or topics from each system. 

Let’s start. 

The 1-month Study Plan for NEET-SS Pediatrics

Study Plan Part-I

For Part-I, give yourself 22+1 days to cover everything. Keep the +1 day as a buffer, just in case. 

In total, you would have to cover 11 areas or systems which include:

1. General Pediatrics Part 1 
2. General Pediatrics Part 2.
   (Even though Gen. Pediatrics 1 and 2 are not separate according to the prospectus, it is convenient to separate them for the sake of your preparation.)
3. Pediatric Pulmonology
4. Pediatric Cardio
5. Pediatric Nephro
6. Pediatric Neuro
7. Pediatric Neonatology
8. Pediatric GIT
9. Pediatric Hepatology 
10. Pediatric Oncology
11. Pediatric Critical Care

Considering that you have 22 days in hand to cover all 11 topics, it means that you have 2 days to cover each topic.

While studying each system or area, there are certain things you must keep in mind. They are:

• Topics asked in the past papers
• Related videos (these need to be quickly revised in 2x speed).
• Self-identified topics (important topics you are weak in and need to revise again).
• Spend a maximum of 15-20 minutes for each topic, not more. 

Next, let’s move on to the second part of the 1 month study plan.

Study Plan Part-II 

Part-II will consist of the remaining 7-8 days in your 1 month study plan. Part-I consisted of 22+1 days. 

When you are revising for Part-I, regardless of the source from which you’re revising, always keep a notebook with you where you note down all the important keywords. This will be important for your second revision in the last 7-8 days. 

When you attempt your second revision in the last 7-8 days before the exam, it will ensure a better retention of facts and overall better preparation. 

Moreover, this process will give you an almost photographic memory because everything will remain fresh in your mind. 

In addition, here are some important topics you must not miss:

• PALS guidelines. 
• NALS guidelines (latest edition).
• Important drugs used in neonatology. Especially monoclonal antibodies or new drugs.  
• Vitamins.
• Syndromes.
• Images.
• Health programmes.
• COVID -19.
• Updates of all kinds that have come in the past 2 years. 

And there you go. We have come to the end of the 1 month study plan for NEET-SS Pediatrics. 

Follow the above plan diligently during the last 30 days before the NEET SS Pediatrics exam and you will see a definite improvement in your preparation and performance.

The super speciality exam has become more clinical than before, but do not let that make you nervous. You have already studied everything so there is no need to panic. Just review everything carefully and focus on the process.
