Diffuse pain throughout the body, including the joints, muscles, and spine, without any obvious signs of inflammation at these locations is the clinical syndrome.
Most typical attribute: Sharp pain that radiates down the spine and affects the muscles, joints, soft tissues, and many painful areas. The symptoms that are linked to it include fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, non-restorative sleep, neuropsychiatric signs, and predominant diarrhea.
The precise cause of the condition is unknown. Abnormalities in the descending nociceptive pathway include: Increased glutamate and substance P; Decreased serotonin and norepinephrine; Reduced pain threshold. Reduced HPA axis reactivity to stress o Low cortisol levels. In cases of chronic fatigue syndrome, substance P is normal.

There are 18 sensitivity sites on the body; if 11 of the 18 points are positive, fibromyalgia is assumed; pressure applied Tenderness: 4 kg; pressing on the designated locations with the thumb. The nail bud is branching; this suggests that 4 kg of pressure is being applied.

All the 4 criteria should be met. 75% members with chronic fatigue Syndrome will also have fibromyalgia.
