Admissions to different super-specialty courses are based on the merit list. After the result declaration, a list of qualified candidates is prepared in order of merit per their exam performance. This merit list is used to assign a rank and will be placed in the merit list in rank order.
Two separate merit lists are released for admissions into different institutes. One is a common merit list (CML), and the other is an AIIMS merit list (AML).
This merit list (CML) is used for the allocation of seats in all INI except AIIMS.
The AML or AIIMS merit list will be used to allocate seats in all AIIMS only.
Note: The link to the merit list will be updated here as soon as it is out.
In case of a tie between candidates, the rank position on the merit list is determined according to age (Date of birth). The older candidate is given preference over the younger one.
A minimum of 50% marks are required to qualify for the exam. To qualify for admissions, a candidate must obtain 50% or more marks in Stage 1 & 2 exams. In case a candidate scores more than qualifying marks in the Stage I exam but does not qualify in the Stage II exam, then he will not be eligible for admission to AIIMS.
It must be noted that only qualified students will be eligible for counselling/admission into AIIMS & other participating institutions.
Candidates who are eligible for participation and have been called in the merit list of selected candidates for allocation can participate in the counselling.
The schedule for seat allotment will be released separately. The seat allotment & admission process will be handled by the institution in which the candidates have applied.
