Diagnosis: Thalassemia
Hepatosplenomegaly on per abdominal examination · Peripheral smear shows target cells · Image III shows typical physical appearance of the patient Chipmunk facies · Prominent cheek bones · Upturned nostrils · Prominent incisor teeth (lip is pulled outward).
X ray skull shows lytic punched out lesions. · Presence of Mott cells: Due to accumulation of light chains in the cytoplasm · Presence of flame cell.
Patient is having a combination of UMNL and Sensory involvement · Peripheral smear shows bigger RBCs: Macrocytic anemia · Image shows evidence of demyelination of spinal cord · All these are the presentation of Subacute Combined Demyelination(SACD) of the spinal cord · Miller Fischer syndrome presents with Ophthalmoplegia, Ataxia ,Arreflexia · Devic's disease is a variant of multiple sclerosis aka Neuromyelitis optica · Lead poisoning can be ruled out as there is no MCHC anemia.
Hand foot syndrome is a condition because of sickling crisis · Black urine is a feature of PNH · Elevated Haptoglobin: Absence or decreased Haptoglobin levels are seen in hemolytic Anemia · Splenomegaly with gall stones; is a feature of hereditary spherocytosis.
Multiple blood transfusions · X- ray skull is showing Hair-on end/ Crew cut appearance.
Image is showing porta catheter inserted just above the nipple named as Hickman catheter. Directly delivering drugs to large veins such as subclavian vein.
Hematological dissemination of cancer occurs to various organs.
